Musical instruments larger than 30 Ă— 117 Ă— 38 cm can be transported in the cabin when a separate ticket is purchased. To ensure the instrument can be safely transported in the cabin, it must meet the following requirements:

1. Adhere to a maximum weight of 75 kg (instrument and case combined).
2. Not exceed a seat width of 43 cm.
3. Be housed in a case with a handle through which the seatbelt can be threaded to securely fasten the instrument to the seat.
4. Not protrude more than 30 cm above the top of the seatback. The seat height is approximately 68 cm from the cushion and 114 cm from the floor.
5. Occupy a window seat.
6. Not be in restricted seating rows (emergency exits).

To book a seat for your instrument, add a passenger to your booking and use the name “Mr. Musical Instrument.” If you have already booked flights and wish to add a musical instrument, please contact our customer service team.

Please note that no additional hand baggage is allowed for seats reserved for musical instruments.

Instruments as Hand Baggage:

Small musical instruments that fit within the permissible dimensions for hand baggage can be easily brought on board. There are no specific rules for hand baggage as long as the dimensions and weight comply with regulations.

Cargo Hold Option:

Alternatively, instead of carrying the instrument as hand baggage, there is the option to check the musical instrument as paid checked baggage, especially if the above-mentioned requirements for safe cabin transport cannot be met. Ensure that the instruments are securely and protectively packed to avoid possible damage during transport.

For additional protection of the musical instrument, we recommend obtaining a specialized travel insurance before your journey.
